Whether trying scuba for the first time, becoming a certified diver, adding to your diving abilities, or becoming a dive professional, SDI has the course that is right for you!

For as little as EUR70 you too can experience what it feels like to take your first breaths underwater!

We have put together here a list of the most popular SDI courses on offer.

If you are being put off from taking a dive course thinking that you will be stuck in a classroom studying dive theory, well this is not true!

For most of the SDI courses, eLearning is available. Therefore, just pick the course you want, and we will send you the eLearning codes so that you can do the theory part in your own time and pace.

SDI Experience Programs and Courses

Course: SDI Future Buddies

Duration: 3-4 hours

Min. Age: 8+*

An introduction to scuba diving in a controlled environment for children ages 8 – 12*. Parent/legal guardian comes along!

Course: SDI Scuba Discovery

Duration: 3-4 hours

Min. Age: 10+*

For those who want to test the waters and experience the underwater world for the first time.

Course: Inactive Diver Refresher

Duration: 3-4 hours

Min. Age: Junior Open Water+*

The SDI Inactive Diver/Refresher Program is designed to update and review the knowledge and skill level of an inactive diver.

Course: Open Water Scuba Diver

Duration: 3-4 days

Min. Age: 10+*

This course covers all the necessary skills and knowledge for open water scuba diving to a maximum depth of 18m.

Course: Advanced Adventure Diver

Duration: 2-4 days

Min. Age: 10+*

An overview of 5 different SDI Specialties. A good foundation for continuing diver education.

Course: Advanced Diver

Duration: 2+ weeks

Min. Age: 10+*

The SDI Advanced Scuba Diver Development Program was created to make truly “Advanced Divers.” During the course your Instructor will take you through four complete SDI, TDI, or ERDI specialty courses (for example; Deep, Navigation, Photo, Video, Intro to Tech, Tender, etc.) covering all the skills and subjects, so that by the end you will feel comfortable to conduct dives of a similar nature. Need to have 25 logged dives for certification

Course: Rescue Diver

Duration: 3-4 days

Min. Age: 15+*

Develop the knowledge and necessary skills for an individual to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, and administer necessary first aid.

Course: Divemaster

Duration: 2-8 weeks

Min. Age: 18+*

This is for the advanced diver interested in working in the dive industry as a professional dive guide or moving on to become an instructor.

Course: Computer Nitrox Diver

Duration: 4-5 hours

Min. Age: 10+*

This course covers the use of Nitrox mixtures from 22 to 40 percent oxygen (no dives).

Course: Deep Diver

Duration: 1 day

Min. Age: 10+*

This course provides you with the necessary training to plan and execute dives that are outside the range of depths that are experienced during an SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course, specifically beyond 18 metres and to a maximum depth of not greater than 40 metres

Course: Wreck Diver

Duration: 1-2 days

Min. Age: 10+ -15+*

During this course we discuss the equipment and techniques commonly employed while wreck diving. This course may be taught as a non-penetration, 2 dives required, or as a limited-penetration course, requiring 3 dives.

Course: Search & Recover Diver

Duration: 1-2 days

Min. Age: 15+*

Acquaint yourself with special skills and techniques necessary to successfully plan, execute and evaluate a search and recovery dive.

Course: Night/Limited Visibility Diver

Duration: 1-2 days

Min. Age: 10+*

The purpose of this course is to acquaint the open water diver with the procedures, techniques, and potential hazards associated with diving at night, or in limited visibility.

Course: Sidemount Diver

Duration: 2 days

Min. Age: 15+*

This course is for the certified diver who is looking to use a sidemount cylinder instead of the standard back mount unit.

Course: Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV)

Duration: 1 day

Min. Age: 15+*

The SDI Diver Propulsion Vehicle Diver Course is designed to train divers in the use of a Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) and familiarize them with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards of using a DPV in a non-overhead environment.

Course: Dry Suit

Duration: 1 day

Min. Age: 12+*

This course is for the certified diver looking for advanced training in dry suit equipment, selection and diving techniques. This diver can extend their diving season, spend more time diving in cooler environments and/or enjoy enhancing their dive experience by staying warm and cozy in a dry suit.
